British Study Centres School of English
British Study Centres School of English, is a fast-growing group of three English Language schools teaching English courses to all levels. Our schools in London, Oxford and Brighton run general English courses, English for Exams including IELTS, TOEIC and Cambridge Exam courses, as well as Business English and private classes. We also run teacher-training courses for the CELTA, DELTA and for overseas primary and secondary school English teachers we have teacher refresher courses. Vacational Studies
Vacational Studies 4-week residential English Language Courses for young people aged 11-17 have been running for 36 years. We are 'Accredited by the British Council' until our next inspection in 2012.
Our Courses are totally international.

THE SCHOOLS
We have two Schools, both near Newbury in Berkshire. Newbury is 45 minutes west of Heathrow and 30 minutes south of Oxford.

THE TEACHING
A staff of qualified teachers give 4 classes, each of 45 minutes, totalling 15 hours a week. Classes are graded according to age and ability in English.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
There is a regular sports/social and excursion programme. Optionally avaiable are theatre visits and tennis coaching. All other activities are included in the Fee.
HOW WE LOOK AFTER STUDENTS
Our staff:student ratio of about 1:8 ensures that students are well looked-after.

TOEIC Preparation - Prčparation au TOEIC
Training starts by completing a 45 minute, 112 question TOEIC estimate Test, which will show you your TOEIC score and your level for each question type. See your strengths and weaknesses and focus your training for fast improvement. After the estimate test, you can then start completing the specific TOEIC question exercises. You will be able to review all questions and learn. To support your training, we also have a separate area with English grammar, vocabulary and idiom exercises. In addition, we have special exercises for the improvement of your listening comprehension and your ability to recognise information in talks, discussions and conversations. To get a real feel for the test, you can complete the full 2 hour, 200 question simulated TOEIC test. This will help you plan your approach. All this training is supported by private trainers who are also authorized toeic administrators.
