In January, France has a tradition to celebrate the Epiphany with a special Gâteau des Rois and if you get the bean hidden inside you receive a crown and you are designated King or Queen. Of course, we at the ELFCA French language school shared our gâteau and a Japanese young woman and a Canadian gentleman were queen and king of the day.

The Dante Alighieri association organised an opera evening in Salle Familia on 8^th December. Arias from Nabucco, Aïda, Rigoletto, Macbeth, beautifully performed, ravished all the spectators, among whom the Managers of Elfca  French language school in South of France.

Every first Sunday of the month, an antiques market is held on Place Clemenceau in Hyeres; besides some bric-a-brac of old dishes, vases and diverse pots, one can find really valuable items such as silver cutlery, ancient brooches and romantic lacy undershirts.
