Bread Day for learners of French in France
Students of French language celebrate
In 1793, during the siege of Toulon by Captain Napoleon Bonaparte, as Hyeres area was suffering a blockade, flour began to run short. But on November 10th the same year, a tartan named Marie Dubois managed to run the blockade and to supply the town with flour. This historical event is celebrated in Hyeres on November 10th, by a mass and all sorts of animations with the co-operation of all the town bakers, and plenty of bread and cake tastings. A very pleasant fete indeed, that no one would have missed at Elfca French language school in South of France.
