In some parts of the mediterranean shore, one can see a very peculiar type of pine-tree:

It’s named “pin d’Alep” as it’s originating from the town of Alep in Syria; this courageous tree seems to grow directly out of the rocks. Near Hyeres, it covers the fabulous cliffs of the “Calanques de Cassis” and Hyeres paradisiac Golden Island of “Port-Cros”.
