Giens Peninsula in South of France

A stunning location to learn French in France

Giens Peninsula is a unique example in Europe of a peninsula with two arms of land, sheltering in its ancient central saltmarshes a protected fauna and flora at which locals and tourists always marvel. Just imagine the romantic shots taken by the students of our French language school: at sunset, hundreds of pink flamingos erecting their hieratic silhouettes on the vast lilac mirror-like surface of the water! Learn French in France can also be the occasion of magnificent memories.

So many events everywhere in the South of France for Easter long week-end! Almost a headache for the foreigners who study French on the Riviera at the moment! Even those who remained in Hyeres, where French language school is located hesitated between a visit to “Salon de l’habitat” (housing fair) at the Casino des Palmiers, the “Grande foire de Pâques” (Easter market) in town center, a boat trip to the Golden Islands or just a nice Easter fete at their hosts’. Japanese learning French in France choose Arles Feria

Corrida for participants to French language course?

In Arles the Feria lasts 4 days and it’s always an incredible moment. Not only because of the corridas, for a lot of those who choose that time to visit Arles actually disapprove of bullfights with killing, but for the special festive atmosphere that takes possession of the whole town. All the bars and restaurants turn into bodegas where one can drink and dance till the end of the night. A crazy non-stop four day party, and at the end of the Feria, some participants didn’t look much better than the poor “toros”, according to the Japanese students from Elfca French language school in the South of France.

Is “gigot d’agneau” a part of a French immersion course?

Students of French enjoy Easter meal.

In France a very ancient tradition for Easter is to eat a roast leg of lamb. Of course among the new generations some are inclined to forget it, or to change to something smaller because families are often smaller too, but generally the tradition is perpetuated, particularly in the South of France. Easter lunch or dinner usually starts with asparagus or smoked salmon or oysters, followed by the leg of lamb surrounded with spring vegetables, a cake and plenty of chocolate eggs. And all that is always fully appreciated by the foreigners who learn French in the South of France on an immersion course.
